Oh, also

While seeing The Avengers for the fifth time last night (yes, it still holds up beautifully, and yes, I still get that smile on my face when Banner says “I’m always angry” that doesn’t go away until about 20 minutes after the movie ends, and yes, I may have a problem), I noticed something. I’d always been annoyed that Black Widow has her Widow Sting gauntlets but never seemed to use them. Last night, it clicked— that one scene where the Chitauri has her pinned down on the hood of a taxi, I’d always thought that she reached around and pulled something out of the back of its neck to kill it, but I finally noticed that the blue glow was actually her Widow Stinging it unconscious/dead.

This makes me unreasonably happy.
